A men’s insulated jacket that delivers water-repellent warmth for alpine trekking and cold-weather mountain use.
Warm-when-wet:
- The Catinaccio jacket must be destined to become a classic. It offers a warm solution in harsh conditions by harnessing the outstanding comfort and warm-when-wet performance of natural TirolWool® enhanced with Responsive synthetic insulation.
Natural wool plus innovative smart fabric:
- Inside the ultralight nylon ripstop shell with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish to keep out the elements, the Catinaccio uses 80-gram TirolWool® Responsive insulation throughout. You get wrapped in toasty, water-repellent warmth that won’t weigh you down. TirolWool® Responsive uses wool sourced from Tyrolean sheep, who live in high-alpine conditions, and has a high lanolin content (the natural waterproofing wax sheep have to keep water from their skin), while our proprietary Responsive technology incorporates thermoreactive minerals that absorb infrared energy from the body and release it back over time. Allowing you to perform better and recover faster. Catinaccio is the Ladin-inspired name of the mountain chain, often referred to Rosengarten. The front zip with full internal windproof flap seals out drafts, and a soft comfort collar closes right up to the chin for maximum protection. The pockets are right where you need them, including an inner pocket and two zipped outer pockets. All fabrics in this jacket are certified as bluesign® approved for minimum impact on people and the environment. A toasty, water-repellent winter jacket with mountain-focused spec.

An alternative product to fully synthetic insulation. I bought it with excitement because Salewa always produces different and high-quality products. The subject of his body made me think a bit. The models always wore tight and short clothes. I think its usefulness is more important than its athletic appearance. I will use it as the 3rd layer. That's why I purchased the product based on my chest measurement, which is my largest unit of measurement. Thank you Trekkin.

It is a very light jacket, with good thermal protection (closes up to the chin). According to the size guide they recommended a 52 (XL) but the measurements with a tape measure gave me a 50 (L) for age 49 and chest/medium waist.
It is awesome!

Slim fit but loose enough but not too lose. I am 1.80 and 70 kg and this jacket for me is perfect for winter biking.

Super jacket from Salewa, which is very light due to the sheep's wool filling and keeps you pleasantly warm. The upper material feels a bit thinner and smoother than the previous model. I am very satisfied and can recommend the jacket.

I weigh 76kg for 1.75 and with size M I felt great even thinking about a heavy sweater underneath!! I recommend size M

Вещь сама по-себе функциональная? Довольно хорошо отводит влагу при сильных физических нагрузках , температурный диапазон широкий , можно и в минус мягкий быть уверенным?

It is an excellent jacket even in extreme cold conditions, just put on thermal underwear and a technical sweatshirt ... It holds up well in light rain but for heavy rain or snow you need a shell on top
How about its performance at low temperatures?

HI! If used as a third layer, therefore with thermal underwear and fleece, and for active activities such as trekking, it is perfect!

Broad shoulders? (98-104cm) if yes, L is perfect and you can also wear a fleece underneath. If not M is ok. Anyway the jacket is really hot already like this.
