The MTN Trainer Lite is built to provide lightweight comfort, grip and stability for alpine approach and mountain use. It has a robust fabric upper that fits well straight out of the box. The lasted construction and moulded EVA midsole create a stiff midfoot with a flexible forefoot for moving quickly in rough terrain. This shoe is also engineered with our proprietary 3F system that connects the instep, sole and heel for additional ankle support. The heel stabilizer and rubber toe cap also add further protection. Underfoot, the durable outsole has deep aggressive lugs to ensure reliable traction while the Pomoca compound rubber is grippy enough for scrambling both on wet and dry rock. The climbing lacing allows you to fine-tune right down to the toe for greater precision in technical rocky terrain. Designed in Italy, the women’s MTN Trainer Lite is the perfect summer hiker with the technical pedigree for rugged, alpine use.

I bought this shoe last year to do the French Camino de Santiago and after trying several shoes of different brands, with the mountain trainers it was love at first fit! To the point that I bought it back identical for this year's journey! Super comfortable shoe, hugs the heel well and supports the ankle. Suitable for all terrains.

These are my second Salewa shoes I gave purchased and I love them! Lightweight and great for the outdoors. Cycling, running, trekking through the bush or Rockwall climbing (my last pair). I will be back.

They are perfect! I was preparing a route from Bujaruelo to Gavarnier and my shoes were not in good condition. They spoke highly of Salewa to me, so I ordered them a week before. I never released shoes on the road, but in this case I had no choice and although I was prepared for possible chafing, I did not need it. They are very comfortable, they do not weigh and they grip well to all types of terrain. I recommend them 100%

Saw they are "waterproof" but it didn't say how.

They are not waterproof, although they do resist water for a long time. But the fabric clearly shows that they are not.
