The Salomon Quest 4D 3 Goretex shoe is a traditional model of a hiking boot, of high cane, that allows very good control of the ankle, which increases its stability, comfort and resistance.
This version has been created with High Traction Contagrip sole, whose adherence to the most technical and complex ground is superior to any other trekking shoe. But what makes this boot has no limit is the 4D advanced chassis composed of two materials in the EVA midsole that guarantee the comfort and cushioning.
The Goretex membrane resists at all times against the water and moisture so the impermeability could be said to be A since you never get to feel your feet wet thanks to its breathable mesh.
Although it looks very robust, it is a shoe that feels light even after several days in the mountain. The protective rubber on the toe works so well that you do not notice the blows of the rocks on the foot.
Salomon included in this trekking boot a locking system of laces, which are very resistant before the most complex conditions of the ground. Lean on the Quest 4D 3 Goretex if your intention is to do advanced trekking.

I'm about to order my third pair. I wore the heck out of the first pair doing everything. I weigh over 250lbs and i'm not easy on anything; do a lot of construction, bushwhacking; hiking etc. These are the most comfortable boots, out of the box, I've ever owned and I've bought them all. I have had about 8 pairs of Merrell's, etc and for being waterproof (I live and hike in the PNW) nothing else I've tried has the comfort, dryness, ankle security for rough terrain (think rocks) or ease of use (lacing adjust options) than these do. More comfortable than my NB running shoes, dryer and better constructed than my Merrell Phasers. Spendy, and worth every penny.

This is the third pair of these boots that I have bought. They are extremely comfortable and give great ankle support. They are perfect for the toughest walking but comfortable enough to wear all day just as footwear. They have lasted me three years with a lot of use. Eventually loose their waterproof ness.

Really good boots, they look great, feel like real quality. The service from Trekinn was exceptional, delivered to the UK in well under a week. My only concern is that I dont feel the same level of comfort others have. It may just take a little while to adapt as I previously had a pair of North Face which were a similar style only a good bit lighter,but the Salomans are much stiffer than I anticipated and my feet feel a bit too warm for my liking, although again to be fair, the weather isn't cold yet so hopefully in winter this will be a positive. Great service though, thank you

I bought the same boots, bullet in a bullet. The shoes are very comfortable for hiking, comfortable for the foot, sometimes when crossing a river or a puddle I can step into the water without fear, so that they let the water through, you need to try hard. I forgot about corns a long time ago. For several years I regularly went hiking in them, they showed themselves exceptionally well, and the old ones are not over yet, I think that they will be more than enough for a few more seasons.

These boots are excellent! Just be aware they run small. If you have average medium width feet, they will be too tight in the toebox if you wear a liner, medium weight wool and an arch support. Go up one size and they will be absolutely perfect.

The only unexpected hit was that ordering it from Canada I had to pay custom duty, which I have completely forgotten about and which was never mentioned here. This suddenly increased the price almost 40%. So keep this in mind when ordering from North America. Still turned out to be a little bit cheaper than buying it in Canada. Plus I was able to get the color I wanted.

Really comfortable and secure fitting pair of boots. Initially found them a little tight on my left foot only, but after wearing them around the house for a day they soon got comfortable. I love the secure lace hooks which ensure no slippage in the boot. Superb.
