Salomon Quest Element Goretex Hiking Boots are designed for the most demanding hikers who are looking for adventures that test them so they offer quality, comfort, superior grip, waterproof protection, breathability, and support so you can reach wherever you imagine.
These trekking boots have a Contagrip sole that overcomes the traction and adherence you need for any terrain on the mountains. The injected EVA midsole provides cushioning, and the Advanced Chassis gives you more control of movement to the ankle, stability, and flexibility in the front.
The Goretex membrane is responsible for avoiding the water from entering inside and it also absorbs moisture so the foot keeps dry during all trips. These mountain boots come with an Ortholite insole that offers breathability, comfort, and cushioning.
The upper is made with Nubuck leather so it is resistant to water and very durable. These hiking boots with high-cut bring a protective toe cap and traditional laces with eyelets.

I have been buying Salomon GTX trekking shoes for more than a decade. They are my go-to choice for outdoor footwear. I prefer short shoes, I use this high model for rainy days, the rain pants fall neatly over the shoe and keeps me dry. The shoes have excellent waterproofing, and a strong and sturdy design. Size wise they are small. Meaning, like with sneakers, you have to add a size vs your regular shoes. I'm size 46 in regular shoes, and in Salomon's shoes I buy 48. The shoes are super comfortable, also on long hikes. I recommend a few short hikes to break them in before you go on an all day trip. Will buy again for sure!

Any boot that gets overstepped will let water in, but wearing waiters should prevent most depths

In my experience, these boots are water resistant. I’ve never had an issue with water ingress from this boot or previous Salomon boots I’ve owned.

The only way water gets into these boots is over the top of them, otherwise they are as dry as a bone, comfortable straight out of the box.

Good afternoon, I use them in snow and snow transformed with mud. My foot has never gotten wet. The seams hold up well too. The sole is very effective on wet ground. I hope it is useful
