The Salomon X Ultra 3 is a range high mountain shoe that has all the elements you need to face technical routes and difficult descents. This version of Salomon brand came to improve the X Ultra 2 model, with Descent Control technology which embraces the entire shoe providing an extra grip, without equal.
The High Traction Contagrip sole and its EVA midsole have a double type of rubber: it reinforces the heels with a more aggressive design and in the midsole, it increases the flexibility of the shoe so that you have greater movement control.
If something is different in the Salomon X Ultra 3 is the reed, directly connected to the shoe to prevent that the powder and rock from entering inside the foot, where OrthoLite foam awaits you giving you total comfort and cool.
The Salomon brand has worked hard to prepare a shoe covered with a resistant and breathable fabric, advanced chassis and anti-mud lining whit which we close the features of X Ultra 3, low cost but with the same guarantee of protection and durability as always.

I couldn't get these salomon x ultra 3 in UK in my size or preferredcolour, or from the ever popular Amazon, so I risked them getting here from Spain, in 2 days as I needed them urgently, and a website I wasn't sure about/hadn't heard of. I'm not dissapointed, the hiking shoes are exactly what I ordered, a replacement for the same shoes I got paint all over, don't ask! They arrived in the advised delivery window by the very reputable and consistently great DHL. I couldn't be happier.

3rd generation of one of the best models Salomon has to offer. I think these ate the best all around shoes on the market. Best for trail, hiking, outdoors, everyday, walking, etc. p.s. No need for gore-rex membrane, save your money.
