The X Ultra 3 Mid Wide Goretex boot by Salomon has been designed for hikers with a wider foot or for those who like to feel more space on the foot while walking on diverse trails, slopes, and rocks.
With the Contagrip MD sole and spike studs, you have a more aggressive and secure grip, which avoids the slips or falls, so you can feel safe on the descents. The Advanced Chassis of this mountain boot gives you stability, cushioning and control of movements and the Energy Cell midsole guarantees an unparalleled return of energy.
The Goretex membrane in this hiking boot prevents the passage of the water or mud inside and with the textile and anti-particles mesh in the upper, you can keep the foot fresh and with maximum ventilation.

I've tapped it several times but it was always too narrow, now with wide it seems to fit well in width. But now he had to order one size smaller, hopefully 44 2/3 would fit. Light shoe, good grip and waterproof!

Had this in my wishlist for a while and finally got it. The normal X Ultra 3 was a bit narrow for me so I went for the wide fit and it fits perfectly. Its lightweight for a hiking boot and the Ortholite insole is extremely comfortable.

having ,just completed the kokoda track in png, wearing an inferior brand of boots that failed miserably on the second day of a 10 day trek [merrell], i purchased a pair of salomon x ultra 3 mid wide goretex on line from trekkinn. the moment i unpacked the shoes and slipped my foot into them my feet felt at home, since then i have worn the boots over very rough terrain, both wet and dry, over root riddled inclines and declines without an issue, no blisters or hot toes. i am off to kokoda again next year with my eldest son for his 30th birthday we both have purchased salomon x ultra 3 mid wide goretex the same as the trek leader!
