Perfect for side sleepers, the extra height of this mat lets hips sink deeper into it without touching the ground.
Larger air pockets are created by using many looped TPU baffles which connect the top and bottom fabric layers with our Air Sprung Cell™ dot weld pattern. The looped baffles allow the top and bottom layers to be positioned further apart creating larger pockets of air when inflated that require less fabric overall.

An R-value (Resistance-value) is a metric used to rate how effectively your sleeping mat resists heat loss. It’s the only way to know how well your mat will prevent your body heat being leeched away by ground temperatures (which can be a lot colder than air temperatures).
This value can be tested in-house but at Sea to Summit our mats are independently tested at a laboratory to precisely controlled standards.

Not too heavy, really super comfortable even lying on your side, inflated tip top in 45 seconds with the original pump bag and insulating correctly at least up to 3 degrees (not yet tested lower). For the moment I am delighted. If it holds up for a few years it will be flawless!

Comfort is incredible. No contact with the floor at all due to the thickness of the mattress. I am a side sleeper and weigh 95kg. Noise nuisance, which is sometimes complained about, was not too bad in my opinion. Because the edges are a little bit higher, you won't roll off either. Two nights of around 5° and absolutely no cold.

I'm 6ft 5 and the long version comfortably takes my height and weight. Easy to inflate and deflate, it offered a warm night's sleep even on a particularly chilly spring night in a damp field. Depth and width makes it ideal for side sleepers. Not the smallest or lightest matt in the world, but for this price it's exceptional.

Very happy with this mat. It's thick, comfortable, warm. Used it to sleep on rocky or heavily rooted surfaces and it performed really well. You can inflate it very fast and easy by using storage bag as a pump and also it's very easy to fold back. More comfortable and easier to use than self-inflated mat that I also own. Can be a little squeaky on some surfaces, but much less than other brands. I am also using the Aeros pillow with it, and it works very well for me. Great value for your money.

Accustomed to more basic mattresses, this mattress has transformed my bivouac nights. Incredible comfort, associated with the pillow, it's like in bed (almost...). The inflation bag is very practical once you have taken the hit. Storage bag well suited, no hassle. Weight and compactness at the appointment.

After Therm-A-Rest and Exped, now a Sea to Summit insulated air mat. I bought it mainly because of the height as I like to sleep on my side. She's really perfect for that. There is a deduction for the volume of the mat when turning, others are quieter. It is also a bit big and heavy and has a low heat value. All in all I'm satisfied so far.

Comfortable, warm. Quick and easy to inflate with the pump bag. The size of size M is right for me which is 1.68, although I would have liked it slightly wider, like the female version. But it must be said that there are few mats that are wider than this one. I had a Klymit that was wider but there is no comparison in other respects.

The mat is really comfortable in contrast to my previous mat with "longitudinal tubes". Pack size and weight is great. The pump bag is acceptable, according to the operating instructions you should blow into it at a distance, which I don't do because of the moisture. Therefore it takes a little longer to pump. The slight rustling of this type of mat is not too annoying. I think the price performance is good and the convenience is really great.

Mattress show. Maybe there is something more compact on the market, but this one has its 10 cm thickness that makes the difference in comfort. The integrated bag that acts as a pump for inflation is also very comfortable

I have two exped mats 51cm wide(narrow) . I needed something wider after I upgraded from a Bivy(narrow) to a TarpTent moment Dw(wider). Haven't been out yet but first impressions are really good. Stuff sack/pump bag is dead handy. Light weight and it comfortable to lay on. Seems very well made.

Great! You can lie on your side without touching the ground, which is what I wanted to achieve. Folded, the mattress is light and small in relation to the comfort level. It sounds a lot when you turn around But it does not matter to me. Smooth and hygienic with the integrated pump!

What setbacks with this site. Mattress arrived a year ago, pierced not holding inflation .... in my living room !!! After having finally succeeded in having an interlocutor in French, I send photos and then return the mattress which comes back to me like a ladybug full of colored patches ... and still not holding the inflation !!! :) We have me promised a refund never arrived and instead I am returned a defective product. I gave up and this mattress is languishing in the back of a cupboard .... at this price it is unacceptable .... Sabine

Finally a mattress that allows you to sleep on your side, it certainly does not equal the comfort of your cozy bed but it is closer to a comfort worthy of the name. The finish is good and the anti-puncture kit is quite nice. If the weight of this mattress is a little higher than my previous ones, it is because it has in its carrying case the famous inflatable system, very practical, no need to empty its bag sometimes badly stored to find the inflatable bag. This SEA TO SUMMIT is also less noisy than my EXPED SYNMAT and will tend to slip less because of its more "eye-catching" velvet fabrics. Remains the price, quite expensive, fortunately at a very good price on the TREKKIN site, 130 euros instead of the 170 euros observed in general. The delivery was a bit long, but I think this is due to COVID 19 and the delays that have accumulated. In short, I recommend the site and the mattress.

Just tested once in a tent (temperature of 11 ° harms me) and I was not cold. Very comfortable and easy to inflate mattress. It is light and quite small when folded. Convenient for those who sleep on the side. I took the size Large which is perfect for my size: 1.90m and 84kg. Smaller would have been too small.

Nice thick sleeping mat. Is perhaps even more comfortable than a normal bed. With the pump bag the mat can be inflated very quickly and the mat stays nicely dry inside. The mat is also nice and warm to sleep on. No problems with cold from the ground. Very small on the roll and nice and light. A big improvement on the self-inflatable mat that I had before.

A couple of weeks in a row come to sleep on top of this and I am very happy. It has a lightweight and compact footprint, and sleeping comfort is best in class A. The first platform that does not become sore. The only minus comes from the soundproof surface. Coating when you could still get it done this would be perfect!

My search is over! I'm ultralight backpacker and have tried lots of mats over the years, especially ultralite options from Exped (failed at the valve), Thermarest (xlite - great but noisy and easy to roll off to the side, and hard to deflate quickly, and it gets moldy) and Sea to Summit (loved their UL mat overall, but it was too thin to keep me from bottoming out when on my side and moving around). Sure, the Ether Light XT is a bit heavier, but it is more than worth the weight penalty. I'll now exclusively use this mat, also for backpack travel in civilization when I need a mat to toss on the floor at people's homes.
